In a move that has fans and financial analysts buzzing, Travis Kelce is proving he’s much more than just a gridiron giant. He’s officially a “roller coaster tycoon.”

On the latest episode of his wildly popular “New Heights” podcast, co-hosted with his brother Jason, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end dropped a bombshell announcement. He is a new major investor in Six Flags and Cedar Fair, partnering with Jana Partners to take a stake in the very amusement parks that defined his childhood.

“I am officially a roller coaster tycoon,” Travis declared, his voice buzzing with genuine excitement. “We’re talking about real life… I’m teaming up with Jana Partners with Six Flags and Cedar Fair. We’re going to be a part of the theme park and amusement parks that absolutely rocked our world as kids.”

This isn’t just a distant, calculated business decision for the NFL star. It’s a full-circle moment, a passion project steeped in nostalgia. “Hopefully, [we can] give families nowadays the fun and the memories that we have and we cherish growing up,” he shared.

Jason, ever the supportive older brother, immediately chimed in with his plans. “I’m joining you too. I’m investing too, brother,” Jason laughed. “I’m just going to keep riding your coattails.”

The announcement sent the brothers down a nostalgic path, reminiscing about their upbringing in Northeast Ohio, where amusement parks were a community staple. They recalled family members and friends all working at places like Giaga Lake, and the annual school trips and training camp visits to Kings Island in Cincinnati.

“I remember watching Richie Rich growing up,” Travis mused, “and I’m like, ‘Dude, what if one day I own a roller coaster?’… Now we kind of do.”

This “Richie Rich” fantasy immediately sparked a classic “New Heights” brainstorm: What would a “Kelsey roller coaster” actually be like?

“It’s got to have a few drops in there,” Travis insisted, his inner thrill-seeker taking over. “I don’t know about like a Millennium Force drop, but definitely loops.” He’s particular about the experience, favoring a shoulder harness “like the Raptor, because… your feet were dangling.” He even championed the often-overlooked indoor rides for their element of surprise. “You could just turn the lights off in those things and you didn’t know where you were going.”

But perhaps the most “Kelce” detail was his surprising preference for wooden coasters. “I kind of like… there’s like a dirtiness to the wood,” he admitted, to Jason’s disgust. “There’s a shakiness to it. There’s an even greater sense of like, ‘Is this thing about to… fall apart?’” For Travis, the more adrenaline, the better.

The brothers even half-joked about a “New Heights Edition” marathon at Six Flags, complete with running from ride to ride, hitting the wave pool, and, of course, Dippin’ Dots.

While the theme park news dominated the first half of the show, the conversation, as it always does, pinballed to other bizarre and hilarious territory. In a segment that perfectly captures the podcast’s charm, Jason revealed that a fan, Samantha Kaiser, had sent in a photo from a funeral she attended. The photo? A statue of Jesus on the wall that, according to her family, “looks exactly like Travis.”

The brothers erupted in laughter as they analyzed the image. “I mean, it does kind of look like you,” Jason deadpanned. Travis, for his part, was less convinced, but the two fell into a fit of giggles over what they dubbed a “well-groomed Jesus.”

Of course, no “New Heights” episode would be complete without a deep dive into football. The brothers broke down the Chiefs’ staggering 31-0 shutout victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Travis, fresh off the game, was still riding high from the dominant performance.

He described an offense that was “firing on all cylinders,” putting together grueling 17 and 18-play drives that culminated in touchdowns. “It just felt like as an offense, everything was working for us, man,” he said, crediting the offensive line and the run game for setting the tone.

A huge part of that success, he noted, was the return of wide receiver Rashee Rice. Travis lit up talking about his teammate. “We know what he can do with the ball in his hands,” he explained. “He’s a strong runner. He feels the defense… the lanes, how to knife the defense.” He emphasized that Rice’s ability to get the ball “anywhere on the field and he’s going to make somebody miss” is a “hell of an advantage” for the Chiefs’ offense.

The segment was also punctuated by a hilarious mic’d-up moment from Patrick Mahomes. Before a play, the quarterback was caught on a hot mic telling his teammates, “This play never fucking works.” The play, naturally, worked perfectly, leading to a huge gain.

But the podcast wasn’t done. The final, and perhaps most revealing, segment was a detailed preview of Jason’s upcoming visit to Travis’s new Kansas City steakhouse, 1587. The conversation devolved into a mouth-watering, brotherly debate over the menu.

Travis, playing the proud restaurateur, walked Jason through the must-haves. He highlighted the “unique to Kansas City” Hamachi, a raw fish appetizer, and the “Andy Reed’s Treat You to a Cheeseburger,” which he described as a “Wagyu smash burger.”

Jason, however, was immediately hooked by another item. “You had chicken nuggets?” he asked, his voice suddenly serious. “Oh yeah,” Travis confirmed. “Fucking crispy, delicious, with three different honey dipping sauces.”

The main event, however, is the steak. Travis passionately recommended his personal favorite: the A5 Wagyu strip, served with truffle butter and a side of truffle linguini. Jason, a steak purist, was skeptical. “If it’s a good steak, I shouldn’t need truffle butter on it,” he argued.

“I will try it,” Jason finally conceded, “because I love you.”

From theme park empires to well-groomed saviors, from offensive dominance to the perfect chicken nugget, the episode was a perfect snapshot of Travis Kelce’s current life. He’s an athlete at the absolute peak of his powers, a savvy businessman building a diverse empire, and, at the end of the day, just a guy who loves to laugh, eat good food, and ride a shaky wooden roller coaster.
