A ‘HOLY-GRAIL’ one-of-one trading card has broken the record for the richest sports card ever sold at auction. After initial projections of $6 million, the 2007-08 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Dual Logoman Autographs Jordan & Bryant card has sold for $12.932 million.

That price surpassed the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle #311 card which sold for $12.6 million.
The Jordan & Bryant card sits behind the Babe Ruth’s 1932 World Series “called shot” jersey for the most expensive sports collectable ever.
The baseball legend’s memorabilia sold for a whopping $24.12 million in August 2024.
CNBC later revealed that the card was purchased by a trio of investors including “Shark Tank” star and Canadian billionaire Kevin O’Leary.
In total, 82 bids were made to double the estimate made.
The card sold is the only one in history to contain both NBA Logoman patches and signatures of the two legends.
Chris Ivy, Heritage’s director of sports auctions, told ESPN the card was “the pinnacle” for modern card collectors.
“Another can’t be created,” Ivy underlined.
“The pre-auction estimate was $6m-plus.
“So sometimes if a piece is unique like this, it’s really beneficial to let it have its day.
“A 1986 Fleer Jordan in a grade 6 sells for a couple thousand.”
Ivy continued, “While a [grade] 10 sells for almost $200,000 currently.
“Grades matter for standard-issue cards, but this is a 1-of-1.”
The card was part of Heritage’s Summer Platinum Night Sports Auction, which ran from August 23 to 24.
Despite receiving multiple seven-figure private offers, the card went to public auction and made history.

The previous record for an NBA card was $5.9 million of Stephen Curry in his rookie year.
Michael Jordan is considered by many to be the greatest basketball player ever.
MJ’s logoman came from the league’s 50th anniversary in the 1996-97 season.
Jordan led the NBA in scoring (29.6) that year, and it was midway through the Chicago Bulls’ second three-peat after he came out of retirement in 1995.
Kobe Bryant was also one of the greatest NBA stars ever.
He won five NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers before his fatal helicopter crash in 2020.
