The sister of NBA star Naz Reid was allegedly shot and killed by her boyfriend, according to cops.
Toraya Reid was found outside her apartment building in New Jersey on Saturday.
The 28-year-old is the older sister of Reid, who plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Via X, Towns said, “Heartbroken.
“No words can ever take away the pain for my brother.
“Holding everyone close in prayer today.”
Shaquille Green, 29, was arrested and charged with murder.
Police arrested him after they spotted him running down a nearby street.
It has since been revealed by prosecutors that Green and Toraya had been in a relationship.
He has also been charged with the possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
According to ABC6 Philadelphia, Green remained in jail on Monday and prosecutors did not know if he had legal representation.
Fans supported the NBA star with many heartfelt comments.
One fan said, “Some people are taken away from us way too early. I lost my father at a young age as well.”
Another commented, “Rest in peace. Praying for Naz Reid and his family.”

A third wrote, “Stay strong, bro. Love and support are what matter now.”
Reid and Towns played together at the Timberwolves from 2019 until 2024.
Minnesota had a challenging five years with them both, but were seemingly improving throughout.
Towns was the number one overall draft pick back in 2015, getting selected by the Timberwolves.
Reid went undrafted in 2019 but was picked up by the Minneapolis-based team.
He joined on a two-way contract with the Timberwolves’ NBA G League affiliate, the Iowa Wolves.
The 29-year-old eventually left in 2024, but not before helping his side to their first conference final since 2003-04.
