WNBA star Chayenne Parker-Tyus is set to complete a remarkable comeback tomorrow after giving birth.

The 33-year-old power forward has not played since joining the Las Vegas Aces for the 2025 season.

She is expected to feature for the Aces as they take on the Chicago Sky on Tuesday.

Sky power forward Angel Reese, 23, will miss the first half of the game after being suspended for making detrimental comments about her teammates.

Parker-Tyus has been out of action since joining the Aces following her pregnancy.

The WNBA veteran gave birth to baby Yoshua on July 1.

Despite this, she has been keen to return to action as quickly as possible.

Speaking to the Associated Press last week, Parker-Tyus outlined her ambitions.

“I did the research to see how quickly people came back,” Parker-Tyus said.

“Can it be done?, I always have the mindset that I’m built differently.”

The New York native joined the Aces as a free agent, having spent a stint in China with Beijing Great Wall.

Prior to this, she represented Atlanta Dream.

Parker-Tyus is set to return against the Sky, where she began her WNBA career in 2015.

She spent six seasons with the Chicago side before traveling the globe as a professional basketballer.

The power forward has played for teams in China, Poland, South Korea, France, and Italy.

Parker-Tyus gave birth to her first child Naomi in 2021.

The Aces have come under fire over alleged mistreatment of pregnant players over recent seasons.

This lead to particular anxiety for Parker-Tyus as she negotiated her deal while pregnant.

“I was sweating bullets,” Parker-Tyus added. “I’ve played in this league for a long time and knew I just had to be honest and up front and they appreciated that.”

“I just was so scared and nervous that they would just go ‘we’ll reach out next year or something.”

She attributes her rapid recovery with opting for a natural birth over having a cesarean section.

Regardless, her ten-week turnaround remains a marvel as she looks to stamp her authority at her new team.
