On Wednesday, the Sky came away with their 10th win of the season.
However, they still have 30 losses this campaign, which is the third-most in the WNBA, and Angel Reese will now have to miss one of the team’s last four remaining games.
The 23-year-old picked up her eighth technical foul of the season in the team’s win over the Connecticut Sun.
As a result, Reese passed the regular-season technical foul limit.
The second-year forward will now miss the Sky’s game against the Indiana Fever on Friday unless it’s rescinded.
Reese was issued her league-leading technical during the second quarter after she hit Sun forward Aaliyah Edwards in the head.
The pair was battling for position under the basket during the sequence.
The suspension comes after Reese slammed her teammates in an interview with the Chicago Tribune.
She told the newspaper that she “might have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me” if the team doesn’t improve the roster.
“I’m not settling for the same s*** we did this year,” Reese added.
“We have to get good players. We have to get great players.
“… I’m willing and wanting to play with the best.
“And however I can help to get the best here, that’s what I’m going to do this offseason.”
Reese also suggested that veteran guard Courtney Vandersloot isn’t young enough to take charge of the offense.

And she noted that head coach Tyler Marsh needs to be tougher when coaching the players.
After Wednesday’s game, Reese spoke to reporters and offered an apology when she was asked whether she was frustrated with her organization.
“I don’t think I’m frustrated [with the Sky franchise]. I probably am frustrated with myself right now,” Reese said, per a video from the Sky’s X account.
“I think the language was taken out of context, and I really didn’t intentionally mean to put down my teammates, because they’ve been through this with me throughout the whole year.
“They’ve busted their a** just like how I’ve busted my a**.
“They’ve showed up for me through thick and thin in the locker room when nobody could see anything.”
Reese has averaged 14.6 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game this season.
